Dr. Kristi Stone, DVM, cVMA

Dr. Kristi was born and raised in Minden, NV, where both she and her sister Kerri grew up breeding, raising, and showing paint horses. She attended the University of Nevada - Reno from ‘06-‘09, where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She was then accepted to and attended Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2013 with her DVM credentials, and as the youngest in her class. After graduation she accepted a position as an equine medicine and surgery intern, at Steinbeck Equine Hospital in Salinas, CA. From there, she came back home and signed on as an Associate Veterinarian with Comstock Equine, where she specialized in reproduction, neonatal care, and lameness. In 2017 she also became a certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and in 2020 she joined small animal practice, Kreature Komforts Animal Hospital, here in Sparks, NV. And that is where we met her!

Her greatest professional interests and passions are canine and equine diagnostic ultrasound, reproduction, and neonatal medicine. Which incidentally, is the end of things we work mainly in as well. Dr. Kristi has a passion for trying to ensure we are always bettering the breed in order to make the healthiest most loving family dogs we can. When Doc joined our Rogue Valley Frenchies team as the lead of our entire clinical and reproductive side, we just quite frankly stopped and thanked and praised God for her. For her shared passion and love for Frenchies and for keeping their health standards at the highest level possible, for her brilliant expertise and knowledge, for her passion, for her insatiable curiosity and constant desire and drive to learn more, for her incredible problem solving, for her amazing VetMed innovation…..and most of all, for her genuine and real heart in everything she does!
