Rogue Valley Frenchies wasn’t something I originally set out to build — it grew pretty organically from a family dog we absolutely fell in love with.
My parents had a Frenchton named Kate, and when she had her first litter, we kept Stella. We adored her so much that eventually we decided we wanted to breed Stella and keep one of her babies for ourselves. While searching for a stud, we unexpectedly ended up bringing home Steely Dan, our first French Bulldog — and that changed everything.
Between Stella and Dan, I fell completely in love with French Bulldogs, Frenchtons and the genetics behind them. With my background as a licensed veterinary technician and years working in veterinary medicine, I became especially interested in reproduction, genetics, structure, health and the decisions that go into producing each generation.
In 2017, those first family dogs became the beginning of Rogue Valley Frenchies. What started small has grown into generations of RVF lines and a breeding program supported by an incredible veterinary team. I’m constantly learning, evaluating and working toward healthier, well-structured dogs with the temperaments that make them such wonderful family companions.
But my favorite part has always been the families. I love watching a puppy we raised become somebody’s deeply loved family member — and then seeing those same families come back to us years later.
Above everything else, I give the glory and credit to God. So much of this journey was never part of my original plan, yet the right people, dogs and opportunities have continued to find their way into it. I try to honor that by giving every litter and every family the very best of my knowledge, experience and heart.
