Rogue Valley Frenchies may have home bases serving Northern California and Northern Nevada, but our puppy families have never been limited to our immediate area. From Southern Oregon to families all the way across the country, we have spent years developing safe, reliable options for getting our puppies home.

Our primary California location is in Yreka, approximately 30 miles south of the Oregon border. That makes Southern Oregon — including the greater Medford and Rogue Valley area where our program has deep roots — an easy part of the region we serve.

But what if you live nowhere near us?

No problem. Some of our families fly directly to us and bring their puppy home themselves, while others utilize one of our trusted professional flight nannies. Either way, we work with you to make getting your new puppy home as safe, simple and low-stress as possible.

Want to Fly In and Pick Up Your Puppy Yourself?

Absolutely — and quite a few of our families do exactly that.

We have RVF families nationwide who choose to fly in, pick up their puppy personally and fly home together. When that’s the option that works best for you, we make the process as simple as possible on our end.

For families flying into the airports closest to our Yreka home base, we most commonly utilize Rogue Valley International–Medford Airport (MFR) or Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). We coordinate around your flight and meet you at the airport with your puppy, regardless of what time your flight gets in. Your puppy is the reason you’re making the trip, and we’ll make sure we’re there when you arrive.

Traveling with a young puppy is generally pretty straightforward once you’ve confirmed your particular airline’s requirements, and fortunately, these little Frenchies and Frenchtons tend to be remarkably agreeable travelers. We’ve had families fly in, scoop up their new best friend and head right back across the country together.

There’s also something pretty special about getting off a plane, meeting your puppy for the first time and having them right there with you for the trip home.

If flying to us isn’t practical, that’s where our trusted professional flight nannies come in.

We’ve been utilizing trusted flight nannies for approximately a decade, and in all those years, we have never had a single issue getting one of our puppies safely to their new family.

When one of our families needs transportation, we put in a flight request and connect them directly with one of our trusted flight nannies. From there, the details of the trip can be coordinated, and your puppy travels accompanied and cared for throughout the journey.

We aren’t simply putting a puppy on a plane alone and hoping for the best. They’re traveling with someone whose job is to care for them along the way, and our flight nannies have consistently done an incredible job keeping our puppies safe, comfortable and as low-stress as possible during travel.

That personal care matters tremendously to us.

Our puppies have spent their first weeks being raised hands-on and surrounded by people. The last thing we want is for their transition into their new home to suddenly become an unnecessarily stressful experience simply because their family happens to live several states away.

From RVF to Your Arms

One of our favorite things about this process is seeing just how well our puppies handle it.

We’ve sent puppies all the way across the country, including to families on the East Coast, and we’re continually amazed by how smoothly they transition. They arrive safely, settle in with their new people and often behave as though they didn’t just fly across the whole country to get there.

A big part of that comes down to preparation, temperament and minimizing unnecessary stress along the way.

By the time an RVF puppy leaves us, they’ve been raised with real life happening around them. They’ve experienced people, household activity and plenty of hands-on interaction, and we work hard to give each puppy a strong foundation before they ever begin the journey to their new family.

Getting your puppy home isn’t an afterthought for us. It’s part of the entire process.

For families in Southern Oregon, getting an RVF puppy home can be particularly simple.

Yreka sits only about 30 miles south of the Oregon border, making us easily accessible from communities throughout Southern Oregon. Our roots also trace back to the Rogue Valley and Medford area — hence the name Rogue Valley Frenchies — so Southern Oregon will always be an important part of our story.

Depending on your location and circumstances, we can coordinate an appropriate meeting or travel plan. With access to Medford (MFR), our Northern California home base in Yreka and our Reno/Northern Nevada location, we have several options for helping families throughout the region.

Distance doesn’t have to be the deciding factor when choosing the right breeder or the right puppy.

We would much rather help a family determine a safe way to bring home the puppy that’s right for them than have geography be the reason they have to compromise on what they’re looking for.
