Keeping Your Frenchie Warm & Healthy
French Bulldogs may be tough in attitude, but winter weather can be hard on their short coats and sensitive breathing. As temps drop, here’s how to protect your squishy-faced sidekick:
Bundle Up
Frenchies need winter gear.
Sweaters for cold days,
Waterproof coats for snow,
Harness only — avoid tight neck pressure,
Short Outdoor Time,
Keep potty breaks quick in freezing temps.
Watch for shivering, paw lifting, or whining — that means it’s time to head in.
Paw Protection
Use paw balm or booties and rinse after walks to remove ice-melt salts.
Watch Breathing.
Cold air + brachycephalic breathing can be tough.
Avoid heavy outdoor play and consider a humidifier indoors.
Keep Cozy Indoors
Blankets, warm rooms, and mental enrichment keep your Frenchie happy until spring.

Winter Frenchie Rule
If you’re cold — your Frenchie is colder.
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy extra snuggle season! Don't forget to have some in the snow along the way too, just like Biggie Smalls would!
