Finding the right French Bulldog puppy is about a whole lot more than finding the closest breeder with puppies available. For families throughout Northern California, it often means finding a breeding program you trust, learning how the puppies are raised, understanding the health and veterinary care behind them, and making sure the puppy you choose is actually a good fit for your family.

Rogue Valley Frenchies is based in Yreka, California, right here in Siskiyou County, with an additional home base in the Reno, Nevada area. We’ve been raising French Bulldogs since 2017, and over the years our puppies have gone to families throughout California, Nevada and all across the United States.

So, while Northern California is home for us, RVF is definitely not limited to Northern California families. We regularly work with families from outside our immediate area and have several options for getting puppies safely where they need to go.

What We Focus On at Rogue Valley Frenchies

Our breeding program has always been about thoughtfully planned generations rather than simply producing puppies. We pay close attention to health, structure, temperament and the traits we want to carry forward through our lines.

Our dogs receive genetic testing, and we use additional health evaluations including radiographs of hips and spines where appropriate. We also pay attention to things that matter specifically in French Bulldogs, including airway and soft palate considerations, movement, structure and overall quality of life.

Our puppies are raised in our homes and around normal family life. They grow up with people, kids, other dogs and all of the everyday activity that comes with being part of our family.

Looking for a French Bulldog Puppy in Northern California?

Being located in Yreka makes us accessible to families throughout Siskiyou County and much of Northern California, including families traveling from areas such as Redding, Mount Shasta, Weed, Shasta Lake and surrounding communities.

But we don’t expect geography alone to determine where someone gets their puppy. Choosing a breeder is a big decision, and we encourage families to learn about the program, the parents behind a litter and how puppies are raised before deciding whether RVF is the right fit.

What Happens When You Reserve an RVF Puppy?

Families can join our reservation list with a $500 deposit, which establishes priority for puppy selection. Puppy selections are made by four weeks of age, and the remaining balance is due when puppies reach eight weeks.

Before leaving us, puppies receive a veterinary physical, their first DHPP puppy vaccination at eight weeks and age-appropriate deworming. Our French Bulldog puppies also go home with their AKC paperwork and information families need as they transition their puppy home.

And our relationship with our families doesn’t end at pickup. We want to remain a resource throughout the life of the dog.

Getting Your Puppy Home

Northern California families may be able to arrange pickup or meet with us in Yreka depending on the litter and timing.

We also regularly coordinate puppy transportation. Reno is another frequent meeting point for our program, and for families farther away, flight nanny transportation allows our puppies to travel throughout the United States.

That means finding the right RVF puppy doesn’t necessarily depend on living within driving distance.

French Bulldogs — and Frenchtons

In addition to our French Bulldog program, RVF has generations of our own Frenchton lines behind us.

Our Frenchtons are intentionally bred companion dogs combining predominantly French Bulldog lines with Boston Terrier influence. Depending on the pairing, that can offer families another option when they love the French Bulldog personality but are interested in some of the characteristics we work toward within our Frenchton program.
